Our previous installments of this series (Part 1 & Part 2) have been looking at specific things to look for in land or a homestead, but we've also been getting questions about "where?" What is the "best" location?  If I determine that I need to move, where should I go?

There are no stock answers to these kinds of questions.  Everyone's situation is different, so we would not presume to put forth a "one-size-fits-all" solution. BUT, you do need to make an informed decision.  And that's what this next part is all about.

So where do we start?

First things, first. You need to make a list of your personal criteria. What are your goals and dreams in what you want in your homestead. Mountains, valleys, water, sun exposure, secluded, drier, more humid?
